Phase 4
Phase four saw the completion of the “Wesley Wing”, “Seafarer’s Wharf” and the “Princess Alexandra Wing”..
.
The “Wesley Wing” comprises of 9 en-suite rooms, including one disabled room, on the first floor of the front block and was named in celebration of our heritage as a Methodist Charity and all the Methodist supporters of our work. The wing was officially opened on the 13th December 2011 by the President of the Methodist Conference, the Reverend Leo Osborn.
“Seafarers’ Wharf” comprises of 6 en-suite rooms adjacent to the Wesley Wing and was part funded by Maritime Charities with ITF Seafarers Trust giving £50,000, Merchant Navy Welfare Board £25,000, Trinity House £25,000 and Seafarers UK £25,000. The wing was officially opened on the 15th June 2012 by Captain Ian McNaught, deputy master of Trinity House.
The “Princess Alexandra Wing” comprises of 10 en-suite rooms and completes the renovation of the first floor of the front block. The rooms were officially opened by our patron, HRH Princess Alexandra, on the 10th November 2012.
