Accommodation

QVSR is a residential facility for short or long term stays with over 170 bedrooms. The majority of our rooms are single standard bedrooms with shared bathrooms; however, we also have some en-suite bedrooms with a wet-room facility including a fitted shower, sink & toilet.

The Queen Victoria Seamen’s Rest will provide accommodation for seafarers, both active and retired, ex-servicemen (Army and Air Force) and other adults in of accommodation.

We aim to provide a caring environment where individuals will be helped and encouraged – physically, mentally and spiritually – to meet their full potential regardless of race, colour or creed.

All residents benefit from a wide range of recreational and communication facilities and an in-house welfare service.

Referrals for accommodation can be made either through an agency or as a self-referral by downloading the form below.

When a room becomes available, an interview will then be arranged either by direct contact with the potential resident (self referral) or through the referring agency. All interviews follow the same format and will include identification and documentation checks.

Subject to availability, admission for successful applicants will be arranged within the next 3 working days; however, it could take place on the same day.

In the event of there being no available rooms, successful applicants will be placed on a waiting list and kept informed as to when a room becomes available. In the event that an applicant is unsuccessful, the reasons why will be given.
