Assistant Night Duty Manager – (Casual)

This role is a waking nights role in which the individual will be required to work 8pm till 8am 4 nights on 4 nights off.

The post holder will be required to build effective relationships with QVSR service users and create an environment conducive to maximising their quality of life and independence

In addition by taking on a porterage role they are required to maintain the agreed standards of service, cleanliness, and security of the building at all times.

General Assistant – Housekeeping (Casual)

We are currently recruiting for a Housekeeping General Assistant to work on a casual basis.

The role of the General Assistant – Housekeeping is a domestic cleaning role in which the post holder will be required to perform general cleaning duties throughout the QVSR building and in particular cleaning the rooms of the QVSR residents on a regular basis, helping to promote a high level of cleanliness and hygiene on a daily basis.

Vacancies at QVSR Seafarers Centres

Cook – QVSR Immingham

We have a vacancy for a Cook at our seafarers’ centre in Immingham Docks. Hours are Monday to Friday 10.00am to 3.00pm. Your role will be to prepare, cook and serve meals for takeout and eating in, for visiting seafarers and port staff. If you are interested in this position, please call the centre on 01469 574195.

General Assistant / Driver (casual) QVSR London Tilbury

The Role of the General Assistant is to support the Centre Manager in the smooth operation of the Seafarers’ Centre by providing a welcoming and clean environment for seafarers, external visitors, and the wider community. As a small charity organisation, flexibility is needed as duties will include driving the minibus, cleaning, and assisting in the smooth running of the centre. This role will include weekend and evening working.

Volunteer Drivers – QVSR Felixstowe

Volunteer drivers are needed to transfer seafarers to and from the centre. If you have an enthusiasm and passion for engaging with people and helping others, this is an exciting opportunity to join us in providing welfare and pastoral support to those men and women who spend many months at sea to bring us our everyday goods.
