QVSR House in Poplar, East London, is one of the UK’s largest supported accommodation centres, providing a home for 183 residents.
Every resident has their own en-suite bedroom, with access to shared facilities including a restaurant, coffee shop, lounges, cinema room, gym, activity centre, computer room, Chapel and multi-faith room, garden and free Wi-Fi.
Our Welfare and Housing Team works alongside specialist organisations to provide tailored support, helping residents improve their wellbeing, access benefits and healthcare, prepare for employment, secure long-term housing and build the confidence to live independently. And when they move on, we stay in touch, so they always have somewhere to turn if they need us.
Residents can take part in regular wellbeing, fitness and social activities, including keep-fit sessions, film nights, quizzes and day trips organised by staff and volunteers.
We also provide short-term accommodation for active seafarers recovering from illness or injury, changing ships or visiting London for training.
In addition to QVSR House, we are the managing agent for 11 affordable almshouse flats for women at George Green’s Almshouses in Poplar.
Our latest housing project will create 21 safe and affordable homes in partnership with Felixstowe Methodist Church.
